O COME, O COME EMMANUEL

O Come O Come Emmanuel has always been one of my favorites. There is an ache and a longing that my soul relates to (and that we probably all can relate to in 2020) but there is also the sense and sound of hope. The multiple emotions make sense in my bones even if my mind doesn’t always understand. So in this season of waiting, anticipation, and longing, may we hold to the hope that Jesus offers.
